After I graduated from ECE, I was selected to join the Meridian Energy graduate rotation program where I spent two years working on diverse projects such as hydro and wind generation. I was involved with a range of teams such as the strategic asset replacement team and with the transmission team.

Now I help to reduce the carbon intensity of the transport sector by accelerating electric vehicle deployment at Meridian Energy. To prepare for trialling electric vehicles I was seconded to Southern California Edison’s Electric Vehicle Technical Centre in Los Angeles.

Having been involved with ECE had been a great grounding for my career and there are so many other opportunities if my aspirations change in the future.
